Inter-Mountain Laboratories, Inc. (IML) began operations in Sheridan, Wyoming in 1979 as an environmental laboratory serving primarily the energy development industries. Since then, IML has expanded and diversified to provide consulting and analytical services for a variety of industries, agriculture, municipalities, state and tribal governments, and remediation activities throughout the nation. The corporate headquarters, environmental laboratory, IML Air Science, Chinook Engineering, and the Technical Services group are located in Sheridan, Wyoming. IML also operates a laboratory in Gillette, WY.
IML's staff is trained in a variety scientific disciplines including chemistry, physics, atmospheric science, engineering, geology, soils science, range science, wildlife biology, microbiology, and computer science. Our specialty is environmental science, and our staff’s diversity allows us to provide both routine and specialized services involving air, ground and surface water, soils, hazardous wastes, their constituents, and their interactions.
